Dearest deviants -- I haven't been writing in my DA journal at all lately - which is terrible - and this isn't even a jorunal update!
This is a
help post that might help get to the bottom of some problems deviants have been having with the
new submit page -- a lot of people can't upload. And are rightfully yelling.
So, I wanted to make some diagrams:
If THIS button doesn't do ANYTHING when clicked:
...
that means you're getting the "busted upload button" bug. Let me know.
If your upload gets stuck LIKE THIS:
...that means you're getting the "progress bar stuck" bug. Let me know.
If THIS THING spins for a long long time:
...
that means you're getting the "stashing" bug. Let me know.
If it LOOKS LIKE THIS:
...
that means everything's working!

It also means you're submitting an apple wallpaper, which you probably shouldn't...
If you get THIS error and it USED TO WORK on the OLD submit:
...that means you've hit a "Category Regression"! Let me know!
p.s. Whether or not you like the new design, let's keep this thread about bugs, so that we can focus on helping people experiencing bugs.

Many thanks.

Keep it Bluesy, DA
I've been having problems with the new submit page for a few weeks now. It's like every time I click on the 'Choose a file to upload' button, and click on the deviation that I would like to submit, the deviation itself won't even load. You know that when you select a deviation, the loading bar appears. But with me it doesn't. What does this mean? If you need more details, please let me know. Thank you.
Also I save my art under 'Bitmap', so is this the problem as well?
I have used different browsers and different versions. All that worked was Firefox 17 with all add ons disabled on a work machine, not really practical as I am sure you will agree.
As people are still submitting new work perhaps you could let people know what browsers and systems they are using and then we can all go back to submitting items. Instead of getting rather annoyed at your failure to efficiently and effectively carry out a simple upgrade, that was not really required, without utterly and totally disrupting the average users use of the site.
