How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Well today, only like a few minutes so far, but then 14 years before that...
What does your username mean?
It means 'si' was taken the day I was signing up. True story. Probably for the best.
Describe yourself in three words.
Answering a questionnaire. Incorrectly.
Are you left or right handed?
I have both!
What was your first deviation?
Actually when I first signed up I thought everything was a deviation, including comments, journals, and your profile page itself. (It seemed like a cool idea to me ) So my profile was my first. Then my first actual art submission was a colouring-pencil drawing of Anju from Majora's Mask that I since deleted out of embarrassment. (which I've mostly avoided doing since!)
NO WAIT maybe that was second, and my first was a screenshot.
chris probably knows!
What is your favourite type of art to create?
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
What was your first favourite?
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Whatever fits my recent collections' narrative!
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
radiopooh - once last of the beat poets. Rest in awesome peace.
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
starvingartist! I mean... I have done before, but it's still great every time.
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
spyed called me over a decade ago and essentially asked "Will you work here?" - that's certainly up there.
I'm also resisting the temptation to list every person I know on here too, 'cause so many people have been there to help me through all kinds of messes, self-made and otherwise.
This community is just made out of solid folk. <3 Always has been.
What are your preferred tools to create art?
Anything with an undo button. mudimba can confirm. :j
Alternatively, anything without one: I love ink, it demands improvisation upon would-be mistakes.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Let's just say it's 13.8 billion years old and has plenty of space.
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
...though I'm quite confident my favourite is yet to come.
Real life needs an undo button as well. They could be pretty useful
14 years, such a long time! I will never forget when baby me met baby you at the Summit.
In 14 years so much has changed!
I'll add copy/paste to your undo button. Ctrl-C/V/Z are great
I beg to differ. They are the spawn of the devil and the source of all bugs. :-P
Undo buttons are great. Ink's a bit more terrifying, but you can always cross things out, which is nice.
You're awesome, Simon
